Task hell on mobile devices

Why?

I really don’t know why Microsoft implements "task items" this way…

The Hell

If I create task items on a mobile device I’d like to be notified when the task should be done… But this is not possible because the UI on some devices does not allow to provide date and time. Some provide only date and some provide nothing:

OS        PPC     SMP
WCE 2.11  d+t     x
PPC2002   d       x
WM2003    d       –
WM2005    d+t     –

PPC … Pocket PC
SMP … Smartphone (some say SP)
d … date
t … time
x … device not available
– no date and no time

As you can see, Windows CE 2.11 offered date+time for task items!! This was forgotten(?) in PPC2002 and WM2003!? And WM2005 is able to enter date+time for task items again! Strange… On Smartphone there is NO way to provide date/time…

This makes Pocket Outlook "task items" unusable…
