I have read an article at ORF ( = mobile version of ORF homepage) the article about Qando. Qando is a kind of "travel manager" for WIENER LINIEN and VOR.

ORF article (mobile version). But if you click the provided link you’ll be redirected to the desktop pages of Qando. which is not very useful on mobile devices.

Since this is not very useful I filled in a feedback form. Since often desktop pages seems to ignore the UserAgent I just tried and a mobile edition appears:

Since the mobile version provides .CAB file for Windows Mobile I downloaded it.

Thank you M$! I have never seen an application (freeware or commercial!) which not pop ups the security warning. But the second attempt was successfully.

But even the application was successfully installed it just not works! The ORF article says that it is a Java application but this seems not to be the truth for the Windows Mobile edition. The WM edition seems to be a .NET Compact Framework application because after starting the application a .NET error message appears.

I had to use a camera to make these shots because Quando causes my T-Mobile MDA Compact III to hang. But before the device hangs the error message (NullReferenceException is displayed for some milliseconds) and then the splash-screen appears:

Have done a series of soft-resets but the application does not work at all:

Hangs … hangs … hangs … Also such an application should not hide the taskbar! Even it is not possible to close the application. So the one and only solution for this application is removing it from the device:

Good idea for a mobile service but bad implementation. Does not work at all and I am a bit disappointed that such an unstable application was released to the public. I hope the application will be improved so that Windows Mobile users can use it because the idea is really fine. The software is free at the moment but queries causes extra costs (see ORF article).
